Keith and Kayla

Two wonderful friends of mine from camp got married several weeks ago, and I had the privilege of second shooting their ceremony with Ashley Irvin! Check her out! She's wonderful, and so so talented! The wedding was out of control beautiful in every way possible. It was under the shade of one of the prettiest/largest trees I've ever seen. This beautiful tree was at Pine Cove's Crier Creek Family Camp, which is adorable since they met at camp.

The director of Crier Creek officiated it, and literally brought me to tears as we were all waiting for Kayla's grand entrance and he was talking about how the Lord places people together, and then said "now let's meet the woman that the Lord created for Keith". Ok, precious. I absolutely couldn't handle it, because it's almost unreal how alike they both are, their sense of humor, their personalities, and their hearts. I feel so blessed to know them both, and I'm so glad I got to be a part of their big day. Here's some of the images I ended up with! But be sure to go look at Ashley's too, BECAUSE THEY'RE SO GOOD. SERIOUSLY.

The end.
It was perfect. Congratulations you two! Excited to see the wonderful things the Lord is going to do within your marriage, and the awesome ministry y'all are going to have together. Love you both!

Quick Trip Home.

I love being home, for several reasons. First because I really do think Longview, Tx can be pretty great, and I know the rest of the population that's my age would wholeheartedly disagree, but seriously sometimes it's nice to get away from Dallas traffic and such. Second because MY FAM IS AWESOME. I love getting to spend time with them when I can. Ok, so can we just talk about family friends for a second? The Fortner family has the coolest families close to us, it's kind of insane. I am absolutely beyond blessed by them anytime that I'm home and able to spend time with these wonderful people, and if we're being real the blessings usually follow me all the way back to Dallas too. They're great.

The past several months the Lord has really been teaching me a ton about community and what that should look like in my life right now. And because of this, I think I've been extra thankful lately for this community that He's built around my family in Longview even though they've been here for years and years. I am so grateful for new perspectives. So incredibly refreshing.

There's about a billion names I could list in this little shout out post, but one of the main families that has really gone overboard to love on my fam in the good times and in the bad has been the Phillip's family. These people are wonderful, Mrs. Sheryl and my mom grew up together in Deer Park and have been the closest friends ever since. Somehow they both ended up in Hallsville, Tx and boy am I glad. Sheryl and Rodney have 3 wonderful kids who are still super special people to me. Meredith, Trevor and Travis, and now Meredith is all married and pregnant and such so Jacob is a part of this wonderful family too. And we're all anxiously awaiting the arrival of Adalyn Grace! She's going to be perfect. I could literally talk about them for days, so I won't. But all you need to know is that they're a blast, and beyond that, a blessing. Seriously.

All this to say, they threw Max (my little russian brother) a welcome home party on Memorial day (complete with huge inflatable slide and many butcher shop burgers), so he could meet all of these family and friends that have been praying for him and his arrival for over a year. It was such a neat thing to be a part of, and we're still so grateful to the Phillip's and their sweet sweet hearts that they wanted to do this for him.

Our new family of 6 at the party!
After everyone left, the Fortner's and Phillip's had a late night swim, and of course it was instagramed.

Today I'm just feeling beyond blessed to even know these people, much less get to do life with them daily. So thankful.

Senior Portraits: Mallory

Meet Mal, she's another one of my lovely lovely roommates. I can't believe she's graduating in just a couple short weeks! She's so old! So excited for this girl as she moves on to the next phase in her life! We shot in one of my favorite areas in Dallas, around White Rock Lake. It was so super fun! That day we literally saw 20 bazillion bike riders, and some how managed to not get hit. Ptl. We couldn't go anywhere without hearing someone yell "ON YOUR LEFT!" and then we'd run back to the grass to safety. Good times. Well here's some of Mal's finished images!
Isn't she precious?

There was a lot of laughter involved in this shoot!

Pretty blue eyes.

Who knew Mal was so incredibly photogenic?! Gosh girl! You're so beautiful! This was an awesome shoot, and I'm so glad I got to be the one to shoot it!

Senior Portraits: Matthew

This wonderful guy is not only about to graduate from the high school that I did, but he's also coming to DBU in the fall! So excited to be in the same city as this kid, much less the same campus! So needless to say I was thrilled when he asked me to shoot his seniors! Since he's still in Longview, I ran down there for a day for his session! I was a little hesitant about shooting in downtown Longview just because it's so ridiculously overdone, (and i'm guilty of it too) but I think we ended up finding some great places to shoot that hopefully not everyone recognizes! Hope you like them as much as I do!

My personal favorite.

I don't know if you've noticed, but this composition never gets old to me.
Matthew was actually the one that spotted these puppies. Impressive right?

Thank you Highway 80.

And that's Mr. Matthew, ladies and gentlemen.
Email me for pricing info! Or really, any info!

Senior Portraits: Katryce

Look who's graduating! My beyond fabulous roommate! She is completely wonderful, and I am so blessed to know her. It was totally the Lord that we even got to live together in the first place, I had only met the girl once! But He is faithful, and knew exactly what kind of sweet sweet heart I needed (and someone who would be forgiving of my messyness). But really, that's beside the point. The point is that she's graduating and I was thrilled to be able to shoot her senior portraits for her! I'm literally beside myself excited for this new phase in Kat's life! Can't wait to see where the Lord leads this girl! And just a warning, she's out of control smokin in these pics. Don't say I didn't warn you.

She's one of the only people I know that can pull off the sassy lip. Get it girl.

This is so Kat. Adorbs.

Told you.

What's a spring senior shoot without some jumping pics?
