HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATRYCE!! YOU'RE 23 AND WORKIN IT, GIRL. 

This girl has been such a blessing to me since the first week I met her. Even though we've only known each other for a couple years, I feel like we've been able to walk together through some huge life moments side by side. So thankful for her, her great listening skills, her hilarious commentary on life, and her sweet sweet spirit. This girl is da bomb y'all. In honor of her 23rd birthday, I thought I'd post some pics I took of her last summer! I dare you to look at these and tell me my friend isn't super foooiinnneee. Dare you.

Looking at these super warm summer pics, remembering just how blazin hot it was that day in DFW is such a tease right now, because as we speak I'm sitting a little too close to a very stormy window. So here's to the hope of a sunnier tomorrow!

Hundreds of Horses

This horsey post is in honor of a hilar dream I had the other night. My entire family was eating burgers (naturally) on this huge picnic table in the middle of one of our pastures, and all of a sudden I dramatically spit out my burger and yell "I JUST LET ALL THE HORSES OUT". We all look over our shoulders and there are hundreds of horses running toward this huge open gate. You know you grew up in East Texas when your nightmares include escaping horses. These pics are from an afternoon I spent with my little bro when I was in Longview over Christmas Break, enjoy!

Happy 2012

So late posting this, but ok hey happy new year! 

2011 was crazy huge, for many many reasons. But my favorite thing that made this year so fabulous was the fact that this little guy officially moved to the states to become a Fortner. The Lord is still continuing to do mountain-moving things because of this, in Max's heart, in the rest of my family, and in our home church in Longview. My parents have been asked to join a newly formed 'Pro Life' committee at Mobberly, and I am so excited that the church is being made more and more aware of adoption as an unsolved problem. But really, what's even better is that this awareness is leading to thoughts and prayers, which are leading to conversations, which are leading to action. Can't wait to see where He's going to lead different families in the future. Praying for the kids that are still waiting for families like these to step up and invite these precious faces to be a part of their home.

Here's to 2012, and all the new friendships, opportunities, and blessings that I know it will bring.

The Bridge

My home church opened a new building over Christmas Break called 'The Bridge', and I got asked to shoot some pics during the grand opening! What a way to bring in the new year, and celebrate new blessings!

Meet the Zackary family! We took these while I was home over Thanksgiving! This fam super super precious, and I had a blast shooting them! It was so ridiculously cold that day, but they were all mega troopers for putting up with it for a couple hours! You guys are rockstars!
